City, county leaders urge you to know your risk
County Judge Ed Emmett and Mayor Annise Parker hosted a lunch for the media Tuesday.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Today I had lunch with Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and Houston Mayor Annise Parker to talk about the upcoming hurricane season and they have homework for all of us: Know your risk.

When the next storm comes our way, do you know what your risk is of flooding rains, high winds, and storm surge? Do you live in an evacuation zone? Have you moved or are you new to the area since Hurricane Ike hit in 2008? These are all question we should be asking ourselves long before the next storm heads our way.
