After winter storm, very cold temps greet Houston

Many of our viewers are waking up to icy conditions in Houston this morning.

The sleet and snow have moved out of Houston, but the danger remains.

Temperatures have fallen into the upper teens and lower 20s this morning, and wind chills are even lower, some spots feel like the upper single digits.

Before the 5 a.m. hour, wind chills were at and below 10 degrees in many of our central counties-that's dangerous cold. Please stay warm!

On bridges, overpasses, and some freeways, we're still seeing icy roadways, and that's the big concern.

We will finally break above freezing after midday, today. Until then, frozen spots will remain frozen.

Please help spread the word. There is concern that many are going to get caught off guard.
