Remnants of Dolly bringing heavy rain to northern Mexico

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Although Dolly is no longer a tropical cyclone, the remnants of Dolly will continue to produce torrential rain over parts of northern Mexico.

Additional 3-6" amounts are likely across much of the affected area, with isolated 10" amounts across much of Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, northern Veracruz and eastern San Luis Potosi through tomorrow.

Across Mexico, in the Pacific Basin, Tropical Storm Norbert is expected to strengthen today.

Right now, Norbert's center is about 270 miles south of the southern tip of Baja California. Norbert is moving NW-8 mph.

Tropical storm warnings for the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, from La Paz to Santa Fe. Tropical storm watch is in effect from north of Santa Fe northward to Cabo San Lazaro.

Maximum sustained winds are near 60mph.
