Many ABC-13 viewers are reporting sleet in their neighborhoods

Yes, it's true! There's a light sleet/flurry mix falling in some Houston area neighborhoods.

Chief Meteorologist Tim Heller says you can expect some sleet in Fort Bend and Wharton counties. The precipitation is moving southeast, and most of it will miss Houston.

The good news: Temperatures are above freezing, so even if a few ice pellets fall, nothing will stick. There are no problems expected.

Drier air is moving into southeast Texas now. The precipitation is expected to come to an end before lunchtime.

Temperatures will remain cold today, with highs only in the 40s.
