HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Friday brings another round of delightful weather with lows in the mid 50s and highs in the upper 70s. We'll have fair-weather cumulus clouds in the afternoon, but plenty of sunshine will still make it through the clouds.
For Easter weekend, we are expecting warmer temperatures in the 80s, with a humid breeze from the Gulf of Mexico bringing back clouds and a small chance for showers. For now, we've got the rain chance set at 20% for those Easter egg hunts and sunrise services on Sunday.
Yes! We won't have to wait long for April's first cold front as it arrives on Tuesday. This one comes with a small chance for showers in the morning then beautiful weather in the afternoon. Behind that cold front it looks like we'll enjoy a few sunny days with lows near 50 and highs in the 70s.
With the solar eclipse just a little under two weeks away, it's still too soon to get an accurate feel for what the weather will bring. Early indications are that the jet stream will likely be somewhere over Texas, which increases the risk of cloudy disturbances blowing through the state. Even if the jet stream is over Texas, it doesn't mean the sky will necessarily be completely cloudy. We sure hope the day is filled with sunshine so everyone has a clear view of the eclipse if they choose to view it safely!
