Chambers Co. offering free sand for residents

Chambers County is offering free sand to residents as they prepare for the impact of Hurricane Harvey.

Several dump trucks of sand have been placed under the Cow Barns at Winnie/Stowell Park, on Anahuac Airport Road and in Mont Belvieu on the public dump site off of Eagle Drive.

La Porte, which was also offering free sand to residents, has run out, according to the city's Facebook page.
