Freezing weather impacts north Texas
Treacherous road conditions make for dangerous travel in northern Texas

DALLAS, TX -- Winter is not done with North Texas.

The National Weather Service now expects a new storm to zip across the region Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, dropping 1 to 3 inches of snow.

That prompted the issuance of a new winter storm watch parts of the region for Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, subfreezing temperatures were expected to refreeze slushy ice on North Texas roads and bridges. Some outlying school districts already decided Monday afternoon to cancel or delay classes Tuesday.

Elsewhere, the Southeast Texas Piney Woods were under a freezing rain advisory through Tuesday morning, while Central Texas was under a winter weather advisory.
