100 percent rain chance for Monday

Meteorologist David Tillman has a look at Monday's forecast.

Scattered, heavy downpours of rain will continue overnight as deep tropical moisture blows in. Most of the rain won't last long enough to cause major problems.

As the tropical wave in the Gulf comes ashore Monday, even more moisture will be present so there'll be more storms. Some of them could have rainfall rates between 2' and 4" and that would be enough to produce street flooding. The most likely areas for that to occur is along and south of the I-10 corridor.

It now appears that the heavy rain and street flooding threat will last into Wednesday and Thursday. We should begin to dry out as we head into next weekend.
