Now that the humid air is back, here's when rain chances return
ABC13 weather has your Houston forecast details, with doppler radar for southeast Texas and live cameras for the weather where you are, all week long.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- We hope you enjoyed those cooler mornings because the warm, humid air is back and going nowhere for the rest of April.

We should start off in the mid-60s Wednesday morning, then warm into the low 80s by Wednesday afternoon under a mostly cloudy sky. A few showers will be possible, but most of SE Texas will miss out on the rain.

Rain chances remain slim through most of the work week but will go up slightly on Friday. Higher rain chances come Sunday as our next storm system brings scattered showers and thunderstorms to Southeast Texas.

Now that we have a south breeze again, does that mean the smoky haze will come back, too?

Yes. With the wind flow coming back at us from Mexico and Central America, the haze will return by Thursday and thicken on Friday.

How does the weather for the weekend look right now?

At this time, we expect it to be a warm, humid, and breezy weekend with lows in the mid-70s and highs in the mid-80s. While Saturday should stay mostly dry, we are monitoring the possibility of some strong thunderstorms arriving Sunday as a powerful weather system blows out of the Rockies and into the Plains. These storms could bring heavy rain, and we cannot rule out severe weather at this time.
