Dangerous flooding strikes Arizona, several rescues reported

NEW RIVER, AZ (KTRK) -- Emergency crews rescued at least six people whose cars got stuck in high water in Arizona.

North of Phoenix was hit by heavy rains Friday and Saturday morning.

Officials are advising people not to travel while the storm is pummeling the northern part of the state.

Forecasters predicted a break in the weather Saturday night, but a new storm is expected to move in from the Pacific Ocean on Sunday.
