HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The full moon Sunday night was another Super Moon! Yes, we had one last month, but the full moon Sunday night was 863 miles closer, making it a, well, Super Duper Moon!
The Moon doesn't orbit the Earth in a perfect circle and on Sunday it was only be 221,765 miles away, the closest point to Earth in it's orbit. We just so happened to have a Full Moon, which makes it a Super Moon.
We'll have another Super Moon next month, but it won't be as "super" as this month. And we won't have a Super Duper Moon again until September 28, 2015.
