The Houston Symphony returns with the 2023-24 season opening on Sept. 29, 2023. Juraj Valcuha returns for a second season as Music Director, leading a variety of programs. The Houston Symphony's rich history will come to life in Jones Hall with performances including past music directors as well as talented solo artists. The Symphony welcomes some of the greatest guest artists in the world to the stage in Houston. New works for this season will include a world premiere by Jimmy Lopez Bellido and the U.S. premiere of Julia Wolfe's Pretty.
"The music this season is very challenging, and every single musician will show their abilities at the highest possible level," said Juraj Valcuha.
"Juraj brings fresh and innovative programming and thrilling performances to the Jones Hall stage," said Executive Director and CEO John Mangum.
