HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities say they've found a 15-year-old girl and her younger, disabled brother after the two ran away from a Fort Bend County group home Friday morning.

Maya Francois, 15, and her brother, Christopher Francois, 8, ran away around 9:30am running from a group home in the 9300 block of Eaglewood Shadows Ct. The two children are under the care of Children's Protective Services.

Authorities had believed Maya was in contact with a friend who lives in north Houston. They were found safe inside the city limits but an exact location wasn't specified.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says the Houston Fire Department is evaluating their condition at this time.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 281-341-4665.
