Spirit Airlines will trade you gripes for reward miles

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Spirit Airlines wants to hear from the haters, and offer them a freebie.

Spirit calls the program "Hugging the Haters." It wants travelers to share their horrible flying experiences on any airline in 140 characters or less.

The haters will get 8,000 reward miles in exchange for their gripes. That gets travelers close to reward travel on Spirit.

The airline has set up a website for the complaints.
