Gas station charging nearly $1 more than rest getting customers
Some of the cheapest prices in the US can be found in the houston area. So why are some drivers still paying nearly $3 a gallon?

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Gas prices continue to take a nose dive. And residents in and around Tomball are enjoying some of the cheapest gas in the entire country.

The Stripes gas station off Tomball Parkway and Holderrieth Road is selling gas for $1.44 a gallon with a "Stripes" card or $1.47 without.

"This hasn't been this way for a long time," said Mary Rogers, who drove out of her way to get to this gas station.

And while some are driving an extra mile or two to buy cheaper gas, others say it's not worth their time.

Laura, who didn't want to give her last name, paid $2.99 for a gallon of gas at the Chevron off the West Loop and San Felipe. She said didn't even know how much she was paying at the pump when she drove up.

"I don't know, see? I don't even look," she said.
