HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The weather has already been a factor in at least one crash. A FedEx truck went off into a ditch early Monday morning.

Officers say the driver was not speeding and believe the slick and rainy roads were a factor.

The driver was not hurt. It was a single-vehicle traffic accident.

Given morning rush hour and the wet roads, officers are asking drivers to slow down.

Workers are trying to clean up diesel that spilled on the highway before opening it back up.

"Really the big message here is be safe the roads are wet, slow down, please. This guy was going the speed limit and it still happened so please slow down," said HPD Officer Robert Montalvo.
