Violent wreck on North Freeway sends three to hospital

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Investigators say a chain-reaction crash sent three people to the hospital overnight in north Harris County.

You can tell by the trail of twisted metal and shattered glass just how violent the wreck really was.

If there is a silver lining in all of this, the three people injured and taken to the hospital all had non-life threatening injuries.

So far, investigators tell Eyewitness News a car was stopped in a lane of traffic when a car crashed into it around 11:45pm.

An SUV was also struck by the second car after it veered into another lane of traffic.

The southbound mainlanes of the North Freeway were closed just before Richey Road as deputies investigated the accident.
