Man struck by train while trying to cross tracks

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is in the hospital this morning after he was hit by a train in northeast Houston.

He was apparently trying to cross the tracks around 10:30pm last night at Hirsch Road and Guadalupe. The man didn't yield for the Union Pacific train and was hit.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
