New road to provide relief to Humble drivers

HUMBLE, Texas (KTRK) -- Drivers in the Humble area will get some traffic relief, in the form of a new road.

Woodland Hills Drive is being extended in the Groves neighborhood.

It gives direct access all the way from Will Clayton Parkway to Beltway 8 and it is expected to clear up congestion from West Lake Houston Parkway.

The road will be open to traffic at noon Wednesday, after a ribbon cutting ceremony.
