Hazmat spill shuts down North Freeway

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The northbound mainlanes of the North Freeway at Louetta are shut down due to a HazMat spill.

The crash happened just after 7:00pm Wednesday.

TxDOT officials say the driver of an 18-wheeler noticed the rig was leaking material and pulled over. A HazMat team is working to clean things up.

No other details were immediately available.
