Fatal motorcycle crash shuts down SB Gulf Fwy

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- All southbound lanes of Gulf Freeway at Monroe are closed to traffic as police investigate a deadly crash involving a motorcyclist.

Houston police advised motorists to expect delays in this area of I-45 South. Traffic is being diverted off the freeway at the College and Airport exits.

It is not known what led to the crash.

ABC13 Traffic Anchor Katherine Whaley advises motorists to use Highway 3 as an alternate southbound route around the crash site.
