Eastex Freeway SB lanes reopen following serious crash

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- All southbound main lanes of the Eastex Freeway at Hopper Road were shut down for a couple of hours due to an accident involving two vehicles

The accident happened around 5:30am. Authorities cleared the scene just after 7am.

According to Houston Transtar, one of the cars involved in the accident is a city vehicle.

All traffic was being diverted to the feeder.

There is no word yet of any injuries.
