HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A crash between a pickup and an SUV took out a traffic light in downtown Houston.

Police say the pickup ran a red light on Milam and hit an SUV on Pierce.

Both vehicles crashed into the pole of the traffic light then hit a metal fence. The fence became electrified and police had to cordon off the area.

Four people in the vehicles were hurt and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
