East Freeway near Beltway back open after multi-vehicle wreck

HOUSTON -- Wrecks involving 15 vehicles had the East Freeway westbound shut down Tuesday night, but that wreck has since cleared.

According to Houston Transtar's website, there were two wrecks in the area. One was off the at Freeport Boulevard exit involving four vehicles. It was being described as a heavy truck accident and a HazMat spill. The other was off the Market Street and Uvalde Road exit and involved 11 vehicles.

The cause of the wrecks weren't immediately available, and it's not yet known whether there were any injuries.
