1 killed in suspected drunk driver crash in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspected drunk driver hit a car stopped at a red light Saturday morning, killing one person and sending another to the hospital.

The accident happened around 3:30am on Allen Genoa near Gober.

The driver of the stopped vehicle died at the scene. The female passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car which hit them was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. She was not hurt in the crash.
