Thieves caught on camera stealing motorcycle trailer from couple visiting Houston
SPRING, Texas (KTRK) -- Surveillance video shows a trailer being pulled away by thieves Tuesday night.
Ellen Downen says not long after she went to bed at midnight, thieves stole her modified trailer filled with two motorcycles, helmets and leather jackets. The motorcycles were a 2017 Road Glide and 2009 Nightster.
The trailer and its contents are worth close to $45,000 and filled with memories of Downen and her husband's time together.
"It's very special to us. It is something we did together. So it's a personal loss," said Downen.
You can identify the trailer by stickers that say Biker Life and Harley Davidson Motorcycles on it. The trailer was near the Hardy Toll Road and Spring Woods Parkway.
The video has been shared thousands of times on Facebook. The couple has already received several tips after people reportedly saw the trailer on the highway in the Houston area.
