Amazon Alexa can now check you in for your United flight

CHICAGO, Illinois (KTRK) -- "Alexa, ask United to check me in."

That's all you need to say now to check in to your United flight if you have one of Amazon's wildly popular Alexa devices. The airline announced earlier this week that it has incorporated additional capabilities into its Alexa app to make traveling even simpler.

Alexa can also field questions about amenities on customers' upcoming flights and other United-related questions.

In order to take advantage of the new service, customers must download the United app to their Alexa device and link it with their MileagePlus account.
