Suspects steal $10k of merchandise from Galleria
Authorities are looking for two women who stole $10,000 of merchandise from a Galleria department store.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police are looking for two women who stole $10,000 worth of merchandise from the Saks Fifth Avenue store in the Houston Galleria.

It happened around 10:17 a.m. on May 31. Surveillance images show two women in the men's section of the store. Authorities say they only stole Burberry branded merchandise.

"I think they should give it back," said Radiya Burton, a frequent shopper at the mall. "If they see it on the news, they should give those things back. Because people work hard, and companies and corporations, the last thing they want is for people to steal and rob you for anything."

Retail experts say in many cases, the merchandise is sold on the secondary market, either online or in second-hand stores.

The women got away in an old gray Chevy Impala

Saks corporate communications referred any comment to the Houston Police Department.

Anybody with information about the crime is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713.222.TIPS.
