HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Texas high school football playoffs are underway and if your team is still practicing, then you're having a great season.

Four-star Cy Springs safety Leon O'Neal Jr. joined our sports producer Joe Gleason in the studio to discuss the competition on the field. O'Neal Jr. had advice for all the remaining teams, including Langham Creek and Katy Taylor.

He also offered some insight on what makes the undefeated Cy-Fair High School so successful.

"Their coaching and the discipline they have on the field is really unbelievable," said O'Neal Jr.

O'Neal Jr. is one of the top recruits for Texas A&M and he tackled the rumors surrounding the potential departure of Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin.

"As a recruit, it kind of baffles me," said O'Neal Jr. "I don't want my head coach to leave. The way I am feeling right now, I feel like if they can pull it off and coach ends up staying there, we can do something really serious."

O'Neal Jr. said he lives to inspire others to always follow their dreams.

"You can change, no matter what background you come from or what people say. Show all nonbelievers that you can make something out of yourself," said O'Neal Jr. "You can do great things with focus, discipline, trusting yourself and keeping faith in the Lord."
