Pearland West All-Stars travel to Little League World Series

PEARLAND, TX (KTRK) -- It's an early morning start for the little league players from Pearland. They're on their way to Williamsport for the Little League World Series.

We were there as the team boarded a bus around 4am today.

They are now driving up to Dallas. From there, the team will fly to Pennsylvania for the championship.

The Pearland West All-Stars earned their trip to the World Series after defeating Colorado 9-to-2 on Thursday.

Players we spoke to say this has been a dream of theirs for years.

Player Jarrett Tadlock said, "I think it's going to be a fun experience for each and every one of us for a team as a whole."

Teammate Lloyd Richards said, "It's been our dream goal for a while and to achieve it right now is pretty cool for us."

This is Pearland's third trip to the World Series since 2010. They will play their first game on Thursday. The team they will face will be determined later today.
