Pearland team step closer to winning Little League World Series

PEARLAND, TX (KTRK) -- A group of boys in Pearland are hoping to make it to the Little League World Series, and their dream might just come true this year. The team just beat another from Mississippi, sending them to the semi-finals.

The all-star team, made up of players from Pearland East and West teams, is in Waco for the competition. On Tuesday, they beat Mississippi 12-6.

They now must face and beat Louisiana's team in order to advance to the World Series.

Pearland last competed in the World Series in 2010.
