The Pearland All-Stars didn't play today but that didn't keep them away from practicing

WILLIAMSBERG, PA (KTRK) -- The Pearland All-Stars did not play in the Little League World Series today. But that doesn't mean they took a day off.

The boys will tell you the one thing missing from Pearland's first win was hits.

"We didn't hit too well in the game like we usually do," said Pearland left field player, Presley Smith.

Pearland's All-Stars were expecting extra time in the batting cage and extra advice from the coaches.

"I need to work on like, sometimes I turn in on my shoulder and we just, I need to stay in on that outside pitch," said Pearland outfielder Christian Terranova.

The boys play again Sunday against Philadelphia and Coach Don Smith says even though the first win lacked offensive firepower, he's not worried.

"I think they were a little nervous, maybe which is understandable for the first time, at the plate, only at the plate," said Pearland Coach Don Smith. "They weren't there normal aggressive self I'd say at the plate, we let some good pitches go by that we should have swung at. But, conversely we pitched well and played outstanding defense and bottom line is to get that first W."

Pearland is where it wants to be, in the winner's bracket.
