Texans Coach Bill O'Brien: You'll find out Sunday who's our starting QB

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Texans coach Bill O'Brien said it Monday afternoon before anyone could ask.

"I'm not gonna make a big quarterback announcement today," he said. "You'll have to wait until the first offensive snap of the Carolina game to see who the quarterback will be."

Later, O'Brien was asked if he had a good idea who that starting quarterback will be Sunday. He answered, "Yes."

Everything else was met with "Every decision I make is in the best interest of the team."

That was repeated over and over.

The Texans coach refused to offer insights or criticisms of Brian Hoyer.

Instead, O'Brien said, "We all need to improve and that starts with coaching."
