The first week of the Texas High School football season is in the books, which means it is time to turn our attention to the week ahead.

Magnolia West vs. Pearland Dawson - Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.

First game on the road equals no problem for Magnolia West.

The Mustangs rolled against the Lions, beating Livingston 54-32 in the season opener.

"Definitely a good start, always good to be 1-0," Magnolia West head coach Shawn Bell said. "Did a lot of good things, but also a lot of room for growth, which is exciting. I saw flashes of what we can be if we execute, so I think our guys are hungry to keep getting better and continue the season."
