Football is back! Katy and Manvel face off in scrimmage game

KATY, Texas (KTRK) -- High school football is back!

After a delayed start due to Hurricane Harvey, Manvel and Katy High School faced off in a scrimmage game at Katy ISD's new $70 million stadium.

"Just coming out and letting them go against other people," Katy head coach Gary Joseph said.

"I'm just glad to come out here and compete," Manvel head coach Kirk Martin said. "We would have had 15 days off before having a real game and that's not good for anybody."
