HOUSTON (KTRK) -- JJ Watt announced this morning that he will need groin surgery. It's an injury he's been dealing with, but got so bad that he couldn't finish yesterday's game against Kansas City.

Watt says he will get a diagnosis tomorrow before surgery on Tuesday.

"I will know exactly what it is when we go in tomorrow," he said. "It's something we've been dealing with for probably six or seven weeks. Our training staff has been doing a great job of getting me out there to the field to play and yesterday was kind of the breaking point."

Watt, along with his teammates were in the locker room this morning, cleaning out their lockers.

The Texans' season is now over after yesterday's 30-0 loss against the Chiefs.

In other Texans news, Jadeveon Clowney is denying media reports that he stormed out of NRG Stadium after being inactive. Clowney says he was simply frustrated about his foot injury and not angry with the Houston Texans when he was seen visibly upset

Clowney did not speak to reporters Saturday after reports surfaced that he stormed out of the stadium. On Sunday, the top overall pick in the 2014 draft said he did not leave the stadium.

He says: "I was frustrated I didn't get to play. I think anybody would have been and I watched the game here. Stayed here and watched the game."
