HOUSTON -- Moment of the day - easy choice. JJ Watt lining up and "running sprints" with 5 young children after practice. Four of the five are Doug Colman's children. He's the assistant special teams coach and he's got a great looking family. His young daughter, Grace, delighted the fans when she mimicked everything JJ did. He raised his arms, she raised hers. Watt fell to the turf, so did she. A lot of fun after another long, hot day in camp.

Arian Foster practiced being the best teammate he could be today in shorts and a hoodie. Foster sat out again today with what we believe is a hamstring injury.

Same deal for Andre Johnson. He sat out, as well.

#1 pick Jadeveon Clowney flashed again in team drills, slicing off the edge to grab the running back for lost yardage. Clowney told us afterwards he's taking all the tips he can get from Duane Brown and Watt. Clowney is making progress and continues to move really well.

Catch of the day goes to DeAndre Hopkins - reaching back with both hands to snag a touchdown pass in team drills. Hopkins made it look easy and it was anything but.

RB Alfred Blue showed off his versatility again today. It's too early to tell how he's mastered the play book but Blue runs with an edge and can catch the football.

The quarterbacks led the hurry up offense today and looked pretty sharp for the first week of camp. That drill is loud and a little wild with everyone screaming instructions. Fitzpatrick told me after practice that center Chris Myers is a huge asset getting everyone lined up and ready for the play.

The Texans ran 9 on 7 today. This is a downhill drill that tests everybody involved in the running game. No one was bashful today. Fun to watch early in practice. I thought tackle Will Yeatman looked really good the times I saw him. Another free agent trying to make a name for himself.

Officials monitored practice and threw plenty of yellow flags. On one play, a rookie jumped offsides and a three heads fell at once where the coaches were standing.
