HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The accolades keep coming for Texans defensive end JJ Watt.
Yesterday we learned he earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. And today, Watt was named AFC Defensive Player for the Month for September - the third time he's earned that honor in his career.
Watt finished the month with 16 quarterback hits, 15 tackles, four for loss, three passes defensed, two sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown. He also added a blocked extra point and fumble recovery.
Aside from being one of, if not the best defensive player in the league, we found out yesterday, he's a pretty good son, too!
