LOS ANGELES, CA -- The ex-fiancee of boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. filed Thursday a lawsuit against him, claiming that he beat her and publicly humiliated her on social media after their break-up.

"I loved him so much and I made sure I took care of him the best way I knew how," said Shantel Jackson, who was engaged to Mayweather.

She said she stood by him for seven years, even as he served jail time for battery against a former girlfriend. The welterweight champion has four criminal assaults on his record.

Jackson alleges Mayweather attacked her too. But she forgave him.

The final straw came when the former couple fought over a photo Jackson posted of herself with performer Nelly. She alleges he retaliated on social media by sharing a sonogram with comments that they broke up because Jackson got an abortion.

Jackson's attorney Gloria Allred read his post on Thursday.

"'The real reason me and Shantel Christine Jackson @MissJackson broke up was because she got an abortion, and I'm totally against killing babies. She killed our twin babies,'" she said.

Allred said the abortion was never confirmed, but Mayweather's fans now shun the 29-year-old ex-fiance. She alleges Mayweather invaded Jackson' privacy and portrayed her in a false light.

As Mayweather trains for his next bout, Allred said it might be better for him to work on his legal defense.

Mayweather did not respond to requests for comment.
