Fan defends Twitter criticism about US Olympic gymnasts

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (KTRK) -- When US gymnast and Olympian Simone Biles posted a photo of herself and her teammates Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman enjoying a well-deserved beach day on August 20, there was a lot of positive responses about their toned abs on Twitter.

However, one Twitter user decided to comment on the girls, asking if their muscles were attractive.

The Twitter user @uwantmyd_aniel was immediately shut down by followers and one Twitter user wrote: "They're the best gymnasts in the world. I promise you, they didn't get those abs to impress your dusty ass."

The Twitter user has since deleted his comment.
