Deer Park nips Channelview 23-22 in 21-6A thriller

CHANNELVIEW, TX -- How ironic that a high school football team that's had no trouble scoring points this season, had trouble scoring points when it really counted Friday night.

And who gets the kudos for that? Deer Park's defense and Miss Lady Luck.

Channelview missed a 25-yard field-goal attempt with just over a minute remaining, enabling Deer Park to hang on for a thrilling 23-22 District 21-6A victory at Maddry Stadium.
