Cinco Ranch takes down Cy Ridge in 6A Region III Championship

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Cinco Ranch and Cy Ridge met up at TDECU Stadium for the 6A Region III Championship.

This was a close game early in the 4th quarter after Cy Ride's James Froehlich intercepted and scored on a James Klinger pass. At that point it was 20-17, but then Brant Kuithe took over the game. He returned a kick for 74 yards and later scored on a 15-yard touchdown run. Cinco Ranch defeated Cy Ridge 34-17.

"They are a great group of kids, this group of seniors committed last December," Cinco Ranch Head Coach Don Clayton said.
