PEARLAND, TX (KTRK) -- Pearland's All Stars are getting ready for their first game of the Little League World Series.

The 16 best teams in the world took over the streets of Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, and Pearland's players starred in a parade in their honor. The team arrived there a few days ago and they have been busy ever since.

The boys got fitted with their game day uniforms. They will be wearing purple and silver and represent the Southwest US in this tournament.

There are two tournaments going on at the same time, the US side and the international side. Pearland has to get past the other seven teams on the US side before they can play the international winner.

It's double elimination at this point.

The boys first game is tomorrow at 2 Central time, but tonight, it was about fun and family and Pearland moms and dads are super excited just to be here.

"This is an unbelievable experience no words can explain it. The excitement, the enthusiasm, the way the Williamsport community has come and just celebrated these boys' success is amazing," said Susan Farmer, whose son plays for Pearland.

Thursday will be another busy day. Pearland has a morning practice, the opening ceremonies and then their first game of this tournament against a team from Oregon.

ABC-13 will be here every step of the way.
