FORT BEND COUNTY (KTRK) -- Fort Bend Christian Academy is having an excellent season.

Their head coach, David Roberts, believes the mark of a good team is one that improves during the year. The Eagles have done that and right now are 6-2 on the season, but more importantly, 3-0 in district play. This weekend, they travel to Corpus Christie to take on John Paul II in what could be a historic night for them.

"If we win, we clinch at least a second place finish, we would host a playoff game, which the school has never done," says Roberts.

The Eagles also have a family feel on their roster, Justin and his little brother Mason are on the team. The Jones family is very connected with the program.

"Their sister was a cheerleader here and now at the University of Houston. Their mom, Stacey, is our team mom," says Roberts. "Dad, Craig is our best supporter, he actually runs stats for us during the games. Both Mason and Justin are good kids, different personality wise."
