FOOTBALL: Crosby gears up for season opener vs. Nederland

280 days. That's how long it has been since Crosby last took the field. The Cougars will restart that clock and ring in a new season when they host Nederland on Friday in their season opener.

"It will be a tough matchup for us as always," Crosby coach Jeff Riordan said. "They have some very good football players and are well coached. They are a very physical team that plays extremely hard. We will have to bring our "A" game."

Kickoff will bee at 7:30 p.m. at Cougar Stadium.
