Efforts to get more minority groups in the engineering profession

A discussion on efforts to inspire more minority students to pursue careers in engineering and science.

According to experts, less than 10-percent of engineering professionals are Hispanic, African American, or Native American, while these minority groups represent more than 25-percent of the population.

Guests are Dr. Alexander Okwonna, Dean of Natural Sciences and Health Sciences at San Jacinto College South Campus and Fernando Zuniga, a San Jacinto College alum who is now pursuing an engineering degree at the University of Houston.
