HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Becky Childers, Board Member of the American Diabetes Association and Director of Diabetes Management at St. Joseph Medical Center and Dr. Karla Bermudez, a medical intern at St. Joseph Medical Center discuss the explosion of diabetes cases in the U.S. and some of the reasons behind the increase in cases. They also preview a Diabetes EXPO scheduled for July 26 at NRG (Reliant) Center, which will feature screenings and healthy cooking lessons.
