Visalia Police Department goes viral after photo of officer lending a helping hand

VISALIA, CA -- A single photo has caputured the attention of thousands of people online.

This picture shows a Visalia police officer holding the hand of a woman walking into the hospital.

The Visalia Police Department posted the picture on their Facebook page and has already been liked by thousands of people.

Police department the said the woman was nervous about going in for voluntary treatment. The officers asked what they could do to help and she said, "one of you will have to hold my hand."

Officer Leon Leonard offered his hand and the rest is now social media lore.
