Tom Koch to enter Chevron Houston Marathon hall of fame
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Over the last 43 years, there have been some things that are very consistent when talking about the Chevron Houston Marathon.
There's the inspirational stories, the pride of Houston on display...and ABC13's Tom Koch.
Tonight, Tom will be honored for his 14 years of anchoring our live coverage of the event with induction in the marathon's hall of fame.
The event is being held at The Grove at Discovery Green tonight at 6 p.m.
When the runners take off during the 2018 Chevron Houston Marathon on Jan. 14, 2018, Tom will once again anchor live coverage of the event for his 15th year, alongside Gina Gaston.
Today we're looking back at Tom's involvement with this Houston tradition, and who he credits for making it a success each and every year.
