National Nude Day
Today is National Nude Day, a day celebrated worldwide by nudists.

Today is a day all about the bare necessities.

Yes, it's July 14, and that means it is National Nude Day.

Nudist groups all around the world observe the day as a chance to go "au natural."

"This is something we take pride in," said Ashley Beahan, public-relations manager for the American Association for Nude Recreation told Arizona Central. "It brings awareness to nude recreation. This is a lifestyle; people grow and learn from this lifestyle."

But remember, it's not legal to walk around in your birthday suit. Sec. 21.08. of the Texas Penal Code states exposing yourself in public can be considered indecent exposure, which is a Class B misdemeanor.

It's not clear who came up with the idea for a national nude holiday, but some website say it has origins in New Zealand.
